- Thick iron chain with an amulet shaped in the head of a Dwarf. The amulet is animated and has its own personality (that of a Dwarf named Vongur Rockhammer, ancient folk-hero).
- When Vongur talks, the amulet speaks and the lips move, eyes look around, eyebrows and beard move, etc.
- Jovial, almost entirely too optimistic, perhaps a bit encouraging.
- Vongur claims to “know what a Dwarf knows”: things like elevations, inclines, history, art, architecture, speaks Dwarvish.
- It's become apparent that Vongur (the real Vongur) may be long, long dead, and what remains of him explores the world through this amulet.

- The staff was surrendered to the Druid Ghyre and the Barbarian boy, J’han.

- When thrown, it lands upon the ground and becomes an actual dog (animal companion) for three hours, there after it must rest and become a figurine once more.
- The dog has antlers and appears to be aging. Given to Elan for her birthday by the Druid Ghyre.

- Offers AC +2. Worn by an as-of-yet unidentified cleric possessed by the demon Agloolik who apparently hung herself, likely to evade the demon’s hold over her.
- It has velvet black on the inside with sewn-in white stars.
- When worn, it apparently has some unusual properties that make it look like a night sky, darkness within it.
- Siegride had the cloak undergo a Dispel Evil ritual from Elleth of Gaia at Widetree Abbey in Rhackdalia on the 8th of Low-Frost, Rose: 47.
- During the Ice, Snow, and Blood at Preen Pass (6th-7th of Bearguard, Rose: 47), Siegride learned that the cloak has two pockets that effectively act as Bags of Holding. She also has used the cloak to "step into the stars": folding the cloak's hood over her head, the steps into the cloak and it falls to the ground; she's no longer on the material plane. Inside of it, stars, darkness, and a grassy space; anything put into the pockets may be found stacked and organized here. A small slit of light can be pulled apart from this space and the wearer reappears with the cloak.
